Lynette is a Jewelers of America Certified Bench Jeweler and graduate of the prestigious Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts. She specializes in high karat gold granulation and handwoven chains. Lynette shares her passion for jewelry design and craftsmanship in small classes with engaged students. Lynette’s excellent private studio is available
to students outside of class time. She also advises and mentors students as they progress after they complete classes.

Lynette Cederquist is a master, mentor and muse, guiding students to create their own unique statements in jewelry design.

INTRODUCTION TO LOST WAX CARVING AND CASTING

An introductory class that demystifies the ancient art of carving wax models, making molds, and casting metal to create a ring.

BASIC FABRICATION 1: RINGS

Learn to fabricate patterned wire, sawing, soldering, texturing and more using a rolling mill, torch, and hand tools. Design and fabricate two rings in this class.

BASIC FABRICATION 2: BEZEL SETTINGS

This skill building fabrication class introduces the fabrication skills of layout, measuring, soldering, filing, sawing, bezel setting. You complete a pendant with a set stone.

BASIC FABRICATION 3: EARRINGS

This foundation class introduces another set of jewelry-making techniques including layout, drilling, sawing, filing, and polishing. You will create a pair of patterned earrings and ear wires.

FORGED LINK NECKLACE

In this class, you learn the same techniques used by metalsmiths centuries ago to shape and flatten thick silver or copper wire into links. After connecting the links, we also fabricate a hand-forged “S” clasp.

MIXED METAL OVERLAY

Working in silver, jeweler’s brass, and copper, you increase your skill set while learning to sweat solder and fuse metals. Create two skills practice pieces and one more design of your choice.

BASIC FABRICATION 4: FOXTAIL CHAIN BRACELET

Learn the beautiful ancient technique of building a foxtail chain bracelet. This basic class introduces the fabrication skills of layout, fusing, forming silver links, weaving, and making an “S” clasp.
